Angela Rule was born Angeline “Angela” Rispoli in New Brunswick, New Jersey on October 23, 1938, to her mother, the late Rose (Mupo) Rispoli and her father, the late Pete Rispoli. Angela is pre-deceased by her older sister, Patricia (Rispoli) Bryan, and by her beloved husband, Christopher Charles Rule.
Angela had a complete life. She and her late husband, Chris, were high school sweethearts in New Brunswick, NJ, and married soon after high school graduation. They enjoyed raising their son, Scot, and were lovingly involved in every aspect of his life growing up. Angela and her husband, Chris, loved each other very much, and they both adored their son. At the center of it all was Jesus Christ. Angela was devoted to worshiping our Lord. She did so in church and in her day-to-day life caring for her family and in time spent with others. She volunteered at her church often and was always giving of her time and shared the use of her home whenever needed.
And, her home was stunning, like a museum from the Victorian ages, full of antiques and with a warmth that always made one feel comfortable and welcome. Angela loved antiques and at various times of her life owned several small antique shops in Neshanic Station, NJ, and in the Outer Banks of North Carolina. She operated these shops for fun, and as she often said, as a way to “feed her habit,” as she was always eager to go to antique auctions to buy and bring home more beautiful furniture and decorative pieces. She loved to decorate and had a unique talent to do so. Aside from the Lord and her family, her home was her joy.
Angela lived a good life and wanted it to be celebrated. Her wishes were for her family and friends to rejoice in her going home to live in God’s Heavenly Kingdom where she will be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and with loved-ones gone before her, especially her husband, Chris. Some of her last, parting words were peacefully said, “This is a time to be happy.” And so, as we say good-bye to Angela in this life, we are comforted knowing that those of us, as Angela did, who keep the Commandments of our Father God the Almighty and believe in the Eternal Salvation promised to us by our Lord, will someday reunite with her again.
Surviving is her son, Scot Rule, her daughter-in-law, Kathleen (Nee) Rule, and her two granddaughters, Kristin and Lauren Rule. In addition to her immediate family, Angela also leaves behind her loving nieces, Cheryl Mich and Cindy Sussman, as well as other cherished family members and dear friends, many of whom were like family to Angela from the Christian churches she attended in New Jersey and in Gatesville, North Carolina.
