Antoinette “Nina” Dimino, age 65 years, of Kingwood Township, NJ, died peacefully on Sunday, October 13, 2024, at Hunterdon Care Center, Raritan Township, NJ, after a long and brave battle against Alzheimer’s disease.
Nina was born February 5, 1959, in Staten Island, NY, daughter of the late Joseph S. Lariccia and Maria Cardone Lariccia.
Meeting her future husband, Anthony, in Brooklyn, NY, the young couple moved to Flemington, NJ, with their son David in 1985. After planning the wedding of their dreams, they married in February of 1987.
The couple would spend almost 20 years in Flemington, raising two additional children, Brittany and Anthony Salvatore, before moving to Kingwood Township where Nina would live out the rest of her years on her 15 acre farm.
Nina was a waitress for many years, where she enjoyed meeting and getting to know people in town and her smile was something many looked forward to seeing each day.
In addition to farm life and family, Nina loved reading, painting, going to the beach, her dogs, and playing mah jong and canasta with her group of close girlfriends. Simply put, she loved being around people and entertaining. Most of all, and this could never be understated, she loved her grandchildren and looked forward to spending time with them.
In addition to her parents, Nina was preceded in death by two sisters, Bernadette Duenas and Maria Louisa Yasenchak, and a brother, Nicholas Lariccia.
Surviving are her devoted husband, Anthony; her sons, Anthony Salvatore Dimino and David Edwards and his wife, Larissa; her daughter, Brittany Martes and her husband, Kyle; her grandchildren, Jacob, Olivia, Logan, Wyatt, Derek and Alex; her sister, Maria Colt; her brothers, Joseph Lariccia and Benedetto Lariccia; several extended family members; and many dear friends.
Family and friends will gather to celebrate Nina’s life on Tuesday, October 22, 2024, from 10:00-11:30 a.m. in the Chapel of Wright & Ford Family Funeral Home, 38 State Highway 31, Flemington, NJ.
Prayers by Rev. John Primich, along with reflections from family and friends, will follow the gathering beginning at 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home and to which all are welcome.
Interment at St. Magdalen Mausoleum will take place privately.
