Arthur Melvyn Helfer, age 75 years, of Tewksbury Township, NJ, died on Saturday, December 28, 2019 at the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ.

A United States Marine Corps veteran, Arthur was a talented musician, a genuine and caring soul, and a true friend.

Life celebration services followed by burial with military honors took place at Mountainview Cemetery, Cokesbury, NJ under the care and direction of Wright & Ford Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 38 State Highway 31, Flemington, NJ.

I first met Arthur after hiring him to work on a HVAC unit for me. I found him to be very knowledgeable in this field and subsequently hired him to install two new units in my residence. He was a great person who I thought very highly of and was the type of person that did you the best possible job when he worked for you. The two units he installed for me have not given me any trouble whatsoever. He took pride in his work and I considered him a great friend. He ate supper at my home many times and I visited him at his home when he lived here in Kentucky. RIP old buddy you were a true friend that I missed after you left Manchester. Hope you gained your wings because you sure deserved them...
