Carol A. Hyndshaw Foor, age 60 years, of Franklin Township, Hunterdon County, NJ, died on Saturday, January 22, 2022 at Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ.
Born at the original Warren Hospital, Phillipsburg, NJ on September 26, 1961, daughter of the late Flavel William and Joan Thatcher Hyndshaw, Carol was a lifelong area resident.
Graduating from North Hunterdon Regional High School in 1979, Carol was the Office Administrator for many years with Powerco, Inc., Clinton, NJ, where her strong leadership and organization skills were much admired.
Always generous with her time and talents, Carol was truly a giver from childhood. Being an older sister by three years to her brother Chuck, the two had an unbreakable bond. Chuck fondly recalls his sister always being there to ‘babysit’ him as well as be his support system throughout both of their life journey’s. This spirit of genuineness and caring was exhibited to the community in many ways as well, with Carol’s service as a Life Member of the Quakertown Fire Company Auxiliary being first and foremost. She loved the auxiliary and was heavily involved in setting up and executing many fire company functions throughout the years.
Having many hobbies, you could find Carol bowling at Frenchtown Lanes, playing softball, or cheering Artie Lentine and Mark Fusco on at the Flemington Speedway. She was an avid Nascar fan, with Bill Elliot having her heart! When Nascar was not in season, you could find Carol cheering on her Washington Redskins, usually with the loudest voice in the room.
Carol’s loving spirit shone though her actions in many ways, with her cooking and baking being the main one that many will remember with a smile. Christmastime, one of her favorite holidays, was the season for baking cookies for everyone in sight. Carol ensured that family and friends had plenty of homemade treats and her skills were also put to use to help those less fortunate. She always wanted to ensure that no one was left out of the holiday spirit and made certain that holiday meals were available to all people.
Though her life was shorter in years than many, Carol’s legacy of being a strong person and always giving to others will certainly enable all those who remain to ensure that they use their time wisely, until we are all reunited with Carol in a place where there is no pain or suffering, but only light, peace and eternal hope.
Surviving are her husband, Roger Foor, with whom she joined hands in marriage on October 26, 1996; her daughter, Sabrina Foor; her step-daughters and sons-in-law, Sherri and Jacob Fulmer and Kristina and Giovanni Lomonaco; her grandchildren, Dylan, Danah, Anthony, and Luciano; her brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Bethann Hyndshaw; her nephew and his wife, Tyler and Shelbi Hyndshaw; her mother-in-law, Janet Conry; her large, extended family on the Foor side; and many dear friends.
