Obituary

Christy Leigh Campbell, age 42 years, of Ewing Township, NJ, died suddenly on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at Helene Fuld Trauma Center, Trenton, NJ as a result of injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.

Born in Parkersburg, WV on August 13, 1975 to Theresa Lynn Cornell Lhota of Latrobe, PA and Max L. Campbell of Belpre, OH, Christy had lived in Ewing for the past ten years, having formerly lived in Ringoes, Princeton, and Flemington, NJ.

A 1993 graduate of Hunterdon Central Regional High School, Christy was, simply put, a beautiful soul.

She was a hard worker who was adored by anyone who she came into contact with. Having many devoted friends, Christy was the one who would do anything for her family and friends, and vice-versa.

Articulate in all her endeavors, Christy may have left this world too soon, but will certainly remain as a Guardian Angel for all who need her smile and advice. Death may end a physical life, but never does it end a relationship.

Surviving are her mother and step-father, Theresa and Daniel Lhota; her father and step-mother, Max L. and Carolyn Campbell; her siblings, Daniel and his wife, Lori Lhota, Brittany Lhota, Caitlin Campbell and her fiancé, Matthew Kelly, Anna Campbell and her fiancé, Tyler Riddle; her maternal grandparents, Shirley and Charles Greiner; her soon to be niece or nephew due in December; several extended family members; and many cherished friends.

A celebration of Christy’s life will take place on Thursday, July 5, 2018 at 7:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Wright & Ford Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 38 State Highway 31, Flemington, NJ.

Christy will lie in repose on Thursday from 6:00-7:30 p.m. at the funeral home and all are invited to share loving memories about this kind and gentle soul.

Burial will be private in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Capner Street, Flemington, NJ.

Please visit Christy’ permanent memorial site at www.wrightfamily.com where one can light a candle and leave a message of condolence and words of comfort, as well as share stories and photographs of her life.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Hubert’s Animal Welfare Shelter, 575 Woodlawn Avenue, Madison, NJ 07940 or by clicking HERE.

Dear Christy I can’t believe you are gone, this is so wrong. My condolences to your parents, siblings and all your friends. You became part of our family at every holiday dinner. You thought we were being kind to you but it was really you that made our holidays special. My daughter Becky cherished your friendship. You were a true friend. I hope you have found your beloved Grandma in the afterlife. When I think of you I see a delicate flower blowing in the wind so graceful and quiet. We will miss your gentle sweetness and beautiful smile. Rest in peace.

Dear Christy, I hope you’re listening tonight as I write this… Over the years, Becky has been lucky to have many friends … some she referred to as “my friend”, and a few as “one of my best friends”. The only way I ever heard her describe you was: “My Best Friend Christy”. Thank you for being that friend to her! Most of my life I have been separated from parents, and family by long distances. That was always hard… especially around holidays. I’m so glad for the times you were able to join Becky and us during family gatherings, when time and distance kept you from getting “home”. It quickly seemed like you had just always been part of us. Those times are cherished memories for us. We’re all trying to be strong… trying to find some consolation with the thought that on the day you left us, you had been doing things you seemed to enjoy most… having fun, together with your friends. When ya catch us, your friends, or your family smiling while remembering fun times spent together; please take pride in knowing what a blessing you are to all of us who knew you in this life. And finally, though ya will catch us, your friends, and your family crying at times… try not to be sad; it’s only because we all love ya, and we miss ya. Becky’s Dad
