Daphnne Francisca Lopez Del Bono, age 30 years, an international student from Chile studying in New Brunswick, NJ and living in Ringoes, NJ with family, died suddenly on Thursday, September 2, 2021 in Hillsborough Township, NJ as a result of the tropical storm.
Born in Santiago, Chile, December 23, 1990. She was the daughter of Felipe Ernesto Lopez Poblete and Ilsa Claudia Jeannette Delbono Figueroa. Raised in Santiago, she had lived in Madrid, Spain and the Gold Coast, Australia, prior to moving to the United States to further her education.
A Project Manager for BNP Paribas Cardif Insurance in Chile, Daphnne was currently studying in New Brunswick, NJ with Uceda International. With a passion for learning, she had already earned her Masters Degree but was continuing on with graduate studies.
With a passion for traveling and experiencing other cultures, Daphnne had a heart of gold which enriched the lives of family, friends and even strangers, as her selflessness and generosity knew no bounds.
A voracious reader, she enjoyed spending time at the library finding new and interesting things to read and widen her perspective. She also enjoyed walking and just being outside in nature where you could always find her sipping a cup of tea. Sitting at a café or a park with friends or dancing at a music club were also the source of many happy memories for Daphnne.
Her travel around the world led her to discover many new and interesting places and cultures. On the top of her favorite list were Spain and Thailand. Always dreaming, it was her goal to someday live in Sydney, Australia.
Though her life was tragically cut short, the light she gave to so many is surely not dimmed. Her fight for justice, strong work ethic, and compassionate heart will live on in all those whose hearts she touched.
To sum up her persona, it was only recently that she told her family and friends that instead of giving Christmas presents this year, they should all contribute to helping a family in need have a nice holiday. To honor Daphnne, this year, and every year going forward, please find it in your heart to help others in her name, however you are able.
Daphnne was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Ramon Sandalio Del Bono in 1984; her maternal grandmother, Irce Ismenia Figueros Chavez in 2005; and her paternal grandmother, Carmen Poblete in 2021.
Surviving, in addition to her mother and father, are her brother, Bastian Andres Lopez; her sister, Pia Wofford; her step-father, Richard Wofford; her paternal grandfather, Pablo Lopez; her longtime partner, Natalia Morales; several extended family members; and many dear friends all around the world that she made during her studies and travels.
