David Alan Braun, age 60 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, died peacefully on Wednesday, June 3, 2020 at Hunterdon Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Easton, PA, May 8, 1960, son of Fred and Audrey Flick Braun, he was a lifelong area resident.
A 1978 graduate of Hunterdon Central Regional High School, David had been employed by the Kuhl Corporation since August 4, 1987, working as a sheet metal fabricator.
A loving son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, David had a gentleness to his soul which was always kind and caring. He was there for his family on every level, and it was his actions that told of the thoughts in his heart.
David loved working with his hands, and was known to be able to fix anything. He greatly enjoying carpentry and woodworking, as well as landscaping and gardening.
Simple in words but deep in living, he was most proud of his family and was greatly looking forward to spending time with his two infant granddaughters, whom he will now guide from a different place.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Dorothy and Harold Flick and his paternal grandparents, Fred and Marian Braun.
Surviving, in addition to his mother and father, are his wife of thirty-five years, Joanne Maltese Braun, with whom he joined hands in marriage on October 6, 1984 at the Flemington Baptist Church; his daughter and son-in-law, Natalie Anne and Carl Baus; his son, Ricky Alan Braun; his granddaughters, Maya Ryan Braun-Cooper and Cara Josephine Baus; his siblings, Denise Braun, Diane and Bill Kuhlman, and Brian Braun; his mother-in-law, Stella Mannino Maltese; his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Margarita Torina, Philip Maltese, and Salvatore and Wendy Maltese; several nieces, nephews, and extended family; and many friends that he maintained since childhood.

Immediate family visitation followed by a life celebration service, committal prayers, and burial at St. Magdalen Cemetery, North Main Street, Flemington, NJ, was private under the care and direction of Wright & Ford Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 38 State Highway 31, Flemington, NJ.
