David Edward Moskal, 56 years, of Kingwood Township, NJ, died on Monday, December 27, 2021 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital-Somerset, Somerville, NJ.
Born on July 26,1965 in Somerville, NJ, son of Edward Richard Moskal and Carole Cianfrocca Keri, Dave had lived in South Bound Brook, NJ for many years prior to moving to Frenchtown in 1999.
Known to his legion of fans as, “Crazy Dave”, this tender-hearted son, brother, husband, father, uncle and friend had a heart of gold and was ‘that guy’ who would take the shirt of his back to help anyone in need. People joke about that type of person, but Dave was it; he didn’t just talk the talk, but rather walked the walk!
Walking wasn’t in Dave’s nature so much as was driving. The owner and operator of Power Towing and Transport, Flemington, NJ, Dave truly loved his work as he was able to help people in tough situations. He was well-respected by his peers as he operated his company in a way that honored towing as an art as much as it is a science.
In addition to driving his ‘big trucks’, Dave also greatly enjoyed riding on two wheels, and enjoyed spending time at Burgers Motorcycles in Three Bridges. Countless hours were spent ensuring that his motorcylce was always in top shape, and spotless. He also had fun riding ATV’s, hunting, spending time with his menagerie of animals which included horses and goats, and of course going to the Fudge Shop in Flemington to satisfy his sweet tooth after polishing off a few hamburgers with friends.
Though his passing came suddenly and not without a valiant fight on his part, Dave did not want anyone to mourn his passing, but rather to celebrate his life. He wanted all his family and friends to remember him by living each day to the fullest, spending time with family and friends as much as possible, yielding to cars disabled on the side of the road, and laughing whenever possible!
Surviving are his wife, Laura King Moskal; his children, David H. Moskal and Alexis E. Moskal; his father, Edward R. Moskal; his mother and step-father, Carole and Richie Keri; his twin brother and sister-in-law, Richard E. and Denise Moskal; his nephew, Joseph Moskal; his mother-in-law, Brenda King; several extended family members; and many dear friends.
A gathering of family and friends will take place on Thursday, January 6, 2022 from 4:30-7:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Wright & Ford Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 38 State Highway 31, Flemington, NJ.
