She instilled in her children and entire family a sense of optimism that reminded them daily that the light of God is always shining, no matter what clouds may appear.
Loving nature and animals with a passion, she raised chickens and greatly enjoyed gardening. From vegetables to flowers, Delmis was truly a master gardener.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Juan Pablo Hernandez.
Surviving are her daughter, Dilcia ‘Betty” Mejia; two sons, Carlos Roberto Mejia and Milton Alexander Mejia; two sisters, Luz Benites and Irma Benites; two brothers, Aurelio Bueso and Jose Bueso; her grandchildren, Marbella, Jaimie, Andriss, Alexa and Alexander; her great grandchildren, Jannessy, Thiago, Landon, and Skye; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family; and many dear friends.
