Donald E. Bowser, Sr., age 84 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, died peacefully on Thursday, December 12, 2024, at Care One at Somerset Valley, under the caring watch of Suncrest Hospice.
Born on May 23, 1940, in Ford City, PA, son of the late Sarah Wester and Edwin Bowser, he was raised in Ford City, PA and had resided in South Plainfield, NJ, North Carolina and South Carolina prior to moving to Raritan Township.
A proud United States Navy veteran, Don loved anything outdoors and you could find him most of the time on the golf course. If he wasn’t there, he would be hunting and fishing, and of course he never missed a Pittsburgh Steelers game!
In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by a brother, Jim Lucas.
Surviving are his children and their partners, Donald E., Jr., and Diane Bowser, William J. Bowser and Sandra Hermann, and James P. and Pamela Bowser; his grandchildren, Jonathan Bowser, James P. Bowser, Jr., Christopher Bowser, Samantha Snell and her husband, Scott Snell, William and his wife, Randi Tuck, and Matthew and his wife, Danae Tuck; his great grandchildren, Matthew and Kira; his sisters, Geraldine McCollim, Sandra Klingensmith, and Janet Stivenson; his brothers, Kenneth (Butch), Sonny, and Bill Bowser; his daughter-in-law, Cindy Tuck; several nieces, nephews, and extended family; and many dear friends.
Graveside life celebration services will take place on Monday, December 23, 2024, at 10:00 a.m., at Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery, 350 Provinceline Road, Wrightstown, NJ. Everyone is asked to meet at the Public Information Center, just off the main gate, at 9:45 a.m.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Wright & Ford Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 38 State Highway 31, Flemington, NJ.
