Donna DeSanto, age 72 years, of Flemington, NJ, died on Monday, December 13, 2021 at Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, December 12, 1949, daughter of the late Jerald and Rita Yapkowitz Rosenberg, Donna had lived in Flemington since 2000. Growing up in Queens, NY and raising her family in Staten Island, NY, she had also resided for several years in Branchburg, NJ during the 1990’s.
Retired as a Private Finance Banker with Bank of America, Donna was a funny, caring and very direct person who told it as it was, and was respected immensely for that. She was devoted to her family and friends and when not smoking, as she always had a Winston Soft Pack with her, she could be found watching Star Trek, Game of Thrones, and anything Marvel related. To say she was a movie fanatic, is to undermine the term ‘fanatic’. She could quote most movies and if you were around her, you were sure to laugh.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Sharon Williams.
Surviving are her daughter, Jaime DeSanto; her son, Joseph DeSanto; her sister and brother, Robyn D’Angelone and David Rosenberg; several extended family members; and many friends who will miss Donna’s wit and tenacity.
A gathering of family and friends will take place on Tuesday, December 21, 2021 from 6:00-7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Wright & Ford Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 38 State Highway 31, Flemington, NJ.
Services and interment are private.
You are encouraged to visit Donna’s permanent life celebration site at www.wrightfamily.com to light a candle of hope, leave messages of condolence, share words of comfort and recollection, and post photographs of her life.
Contributions in her honor may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
