Elizabeth Ann Yount, age 32 years, of Pittsburgh, PA, died on Sunday, August 15, 2021 at Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ.
Born in Pittsburgh, PA on April 2, 1989 to Christine (Yount) McPherson and the late Thomas Edward Finucan, Elizabeth, best known to family and friends as “Lizz,” was a bright young woman with an unmatched zest for life. Lizz’s free-spirited personality was far too big for her hometown, which led her to spend the past several years traveling to new places and gaining new experiences.
A fervent artist, Lizz was a skilled painter whose colorful personality and love for rainbows and color shone through in her creations. She spent much of her free time submerged in all forms of art. In addition to painting, Lizz also thoroughly enjoyed making her own jewelry, and listening to music, most notably, rave music.
As much as she loved to travel, Lizz was never away from home for too long. She held a special bond with her siblings, and loved to sneak her younger brother out of the house just so she could spend some extra time with him. These times only strengthened the siblings’ bond, and the night only ever ended in laughter and cherished memories.
Lizz is remembered as having the most beautiful eyes, and a smile that could light up even the darkest of rooms. Her off-beat sense of humor kept everyone on their toes in the best possible way, and she had the most caring soul of anyone you could ever meet. Lizz’s unpredictability was only part of her charm, and the natural charisma she embodied will forever live on.
Surviving are Lizz’s mother and stepfather, Christine and Michael McPherson of Pittsburgh, PA; brothers Sean Z. Finucan and Colin McPherson of Pittsburgh, PA; niece Arabella Finucan, and nephew Lincoln Finucan, also of Pittsburgh, PA. Lizz is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins, and beloved friends that will continue to carry on her memory.
Cremation at the Chapel of Ewing Crematory, Ewing Township, NJ, was private under the care and direction of Wright & Ford Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 38 State Highway 31, Flemington, NJ.
