Eric William Anderson, Jr., age 74 years, of Bridgewater, NJ, died peacefully on Saturday, March 28, 2020 at Bridgeway Care and Rehabilitation Center where he had resided for the past year.
Born in Passaic, NJ, February 2, 1946, Eric grew up in Lodi, NJ and had lived in Passaic for many years prior to moving to Bridgewater last year to be closer to family.
A friendly and outgoing person, Eric enjoyed playing games, especially Dominos and Bingo, as well as spending time at the “Jersey Shore”—so long as family and friends were there to enjoy it with him. He was always looking out for others and was a friend to all.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents who helped raise him, Jacob and June Fatzer; his paternal grandmother, May Anderson; his beloved mother, Lillian Fatzer Anderson; his brother-in-law, Andrew Chmill; and a cousin, Raymond Fatzer.
Surviving are his sister and best friend, Marlene Margaret Chmill; his adored nephews and their wives, Brian and Erin Chmil and Stephen and Kristine Chmill; his adorable great nieces whom he loved dearly, Haley and Ashlyn Chmill; his cousins, Barbara and Dennis Entwistel, Joanne and Gus Caccavone, and George and Carol Fatzer; several extended family members; and many friends made throughout the years.
Given the current gathering restrictions in place in New Jersey, a public Mass of Christian Burial is being planned at a later date at St. Magdalen Church, 105 Mine Street, Flemington, NJ under the care and direction of Wright & Ford Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 38 State Highway 31, Flemington, NJ 08822.
