Frances Gloria Friedman, age 88 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, former longtime resident of Valley Stream, NY, and Boca Raton, FL, died peacefully on Sunday, June 22, 2025, at Hunterdon Medical Center.
Fran will be remembered for her unwavering love for her family and friends, her vibrant personality, and her deep dedication to the communities she called home. As a beloved teacher in the Hewlett-Woodmere school district and later an active member in the Boca Lago Country Club, Fran touched countless lives with her wisdom, warmth, and integrity.
A passionate lover of the arts, she found joy in watercolor painting. She was also an ace of a tennis player, known as the best doubles partner anyone could ask for and a fierce competitor with an infectious enthusiasm for the game.
Above all, Fran was deeply devoted to her family. She cherished every moment spent with her two daughters and five grandchildren, whether in Florida, New York, New Jersey, or Israel. She was also a devoted wife to Morty, her lifelong partner and the love of her life. Together, they exemplified a true partnership rooted in love, respect, and unwavering support.
What truly set Fran apart was her spunk, her honesty, and the fierce loyalty she showed to those around her. She formed lifelong friendships that spanned generations—from her kindergarten classmates to the dear friends she made later in life. She was a true friend in every sense—caring, hard-working, and deeply invested in the lives of those she loved.
Surviving are her children, Karen Perna and Susan Becker; her grandchildren, Yishai Becker, Micha Becker and his wife, Ravid, Sam Katz, Amanda Katz and her fiancé, Andrew Tinari, and Edo Becker; her great granddaughter, Romi Becker; several extended family members; and many dear friends made as she traveled the path of life.
