Frederick “Fred” Barile, age, 83 years, of Hillsborough, NJ, died on Monday, April 5, 2021 at Robert Wood Johnson Medical Center-Somerset, Somerville, NJ.
Born on September 11, 1937 in White Plains NY, son of the late Biagio and Maria Baratta Barile, Fred was raised in White Plains and had lived the majority of his life in West Harrison, NY. He had also lived in East Stroudsburg, PA, prior to moving to Flemington, NJ in 2005.
A hard worker and honest family man, Fred worked for many years for Electro-Plating, Inc., White Plains, NY. His dedication and hard work allowed him to climb the company ranks whereupon he eventually became the owner and operator.
He instilled in his children and grandchildren a strong work ethic, as well as the ideal that family comes first; this is illustrated best in his marriage to his beloved Margaret, who he married on December 14, 1958. The couple lived a life of love, and theirs was a marriage based on mutual respect and compassion. Margaret died in 2004 and Fred thought of her every day.
In addition to being a true family man, Fred was an avid sports fan and could always be found rooting for his New York Yankees, New York Jets, and the New York Rangers.
In addition to his parents and beloved Margaret, Fred was preceded in death by a brother and sister-in-law, Pasquale and Grace; a sister and brother-in-law, Lena and Dan; and a son-in-law, Tom Rugar.
Surviving are three sons, Benjamin, Michael and his wife, Linda, and Frederick Jr. and his wife, Denise; his three loving grandsons, Michael and his fiancé, Katie Glasgow, Kevin and his wife, Heather, and John; a great grandson, Daniel; a brother-in-law, Michael Radigan; several extended family members; and many dear friends.
Cremation at the Chapel of Ewing Crematory, Ewing Township, NJ, took place privately under the care and direction of Wright & Ford Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 38 State Highway 31, Flemington, NJ.
Graveside inurnment will take place on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at Mount Calvary Cemetery, White Plains, NY. Please arrive at the cemetery office at 10:15 a.m.
