Heinz Heiduk left a message on July 27, 2024:
A very sad day. I was Jimmies friend growing up from childhood. We played together, went together to all the same schools together, lived on the same street and graduated together. Jimmy went to the Army and I to the Navy. We probably passed each other not knowing he was on land and I patrolled the coast off Vietnam. After our return I moved to Pennsylvania just across the Delaware but far enough to lose touch but he was always in my thoughts. We did get to reunite at our class reunions which were always a highlight. He will not be forgotten. He was one of the good guys. God Bless.
Kelly Ospina left a message on July 27, 2024:
While I did not know Jimmy personally I felt as though I did via Mary’s frequent facebook posts about their many adventures. Mary’s celebration of their love always made me smile. We live in tumultuous times and something as simple as a couple, still giddy in love after many years together, enjoying an ice cream together, was a much needed reminder that life is to be enjoyed and love always wins. It is my prayer that Jimmy’s spirit of fun and friendship will live on in those who loved him, and whom he loved.

Mary, What wonderful memories you have! Although your heartache does not compare to the sadness I feel for you, he is now where the flowers are singing. His only decision now is "what flavor of ice cream am I going to eat"! I will be thinking of you and Jimmy while I am eating my ice cream sundae!
