Janice “Chach” Elizabeth Somogyi Yascko, age 52 years, of Lebanon Township, NJ, died peacefully on Tuesday, October 22, 2024, at home.

Born on July 23, 1972, Janice was a loving daughter to her devoted parents, Nancy and Bob Sittinger, and a cherished sister and best friend to her sister, Melody Webster.

Known for her infectious smile and hearty laugh, Chach brought light to all who knew her. A devoted and funny aunt, she shared countless joyful moments with her five nieces: Alexa, Katie, Hailie, Ellie (Ellmon), and Shae, who were the center of her world. Her nurturing spirit and playful heart made her the “keeper of our secrets,” and she relished every opportunity to create special memories with them, whether it was through games or cherished visits.

Janice spent her formative years in Metuchen, where she attended Metuchen High School. In 2021, she relocated with her family to Lebanon Township, embracing the natural beauty surrounding her. She often marveled at the wildlife, forming an endearing fondness for the oversized raccoons and bears that would wander into her life, much like the joy she found in all the friends and family who surrounded her.

In addition to her immediate family, Janice leaves behind a loving extended family, including her Aunt Jan and Uncle Bob; Ryan S; Rob V; Marc Y; cousins, Duffy & Sarah K, Mary & Dylan H; countless friends both from Metuchen and her cherished connections through Facebook.

Chach touched the hearts of all who knew her with her kindness, humor, and vibrant spirit. She made a profound impact on everyone she encountered, and her legacy will continue to live on in the laughter and love that she shared so generously.

Thank you, Janice, for all the joy and laughter you brought into our lives. You will be deeply missed, but your spirit will forever be with us.

Cremation was held privately under the care and direction of Wright & Ford Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 38 State Highway 31, Flemington, NJ.

I will love you and miss you forever Janice.

I miss you , I miss the future that hasn’t even happened yet , I miss all the conversations yet to be had . The pictures you would have refused to want me to take , the laughter we would have had, and all the decisions I haven’t made without your advice . I will miss our talks ,the eye rolls and I wish I could hear your voice saying “It’s ok Mel” one more time and most of all I’ll miss your infectious laugh . I don’t know how to do life without you , we are all so lost . You had a bigger impact on everyone’s life than you thought . Even though we really didn't know Janice, we do know the love you shared with her and for her. We share in your sorrow and hope you can take solace in knowing she is no longer in pain, physically or mentally and has found a new life we are not yet privileged to understand. So sorry for your loss.

Janice, my daughter, my friend, my forever smiley faced friend. You were always very special to me. Since the day I first met you, I knew you would remain in my heart always. Your wit, your humor, your subtle jokes, and of course, your sarcasm. We spent so much time laughing together. Your company was always welcome and just being around you was a blessing. You left too early but I know you're in God's hands now and making him laugh. I'll always love you and you're in my prayers every night. Rest in peace Jan and know your beloved Talula is well cared for.

I will remember Janice as a kind and talented person. She was a pleasure to know. She did a fantastic job doing my website for my business. I know your mom loved her so and the entire family will miss her greatly.

Where do begin? From the first time I held you in my arms, I knew my life would never be the same. We grew up together , you showed me a love I never knew was possible. a love that cannot be explained. We got to share our love for dogs/cats when you worked with me, you taught me how to use a computer for the business. you were so smart! We’d laugh over the silliest of things but the best was when you called me “Mommy” at our weekly card games. You’ve been my sidekick and best friend , and now for the first time in 52 years I don’t have that . I’m am beyond heartbroken I know you are no longer in pain and I understand that but I sure do miss you . You will forever me my baby
