Jason Wayne Campo, age 38 years, of Stanton, CA, died on Tuesday, November 10, 2020 in Los Angeles, CA, as the result of injuries sustained in a tragic motorcycle accident.
Born at Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ, June 23, 1982, son of the late Oswald S. “Ozzie” Campo, Jr. and Bonnie Lynn Stryker Luster, Jason was raised in Flemington, NJ, and, always the adventurer, his spirit led him to travel out west, first living in Colorado, and then settling in California.
Amazing with his hands and with a keen mechanical ingenuity, Jason was currently working as a union roofer with Roofers and Waterproofers Local #220 in California. He was well regarded by his colleagues and known as a man who would do anything for anyone, without asking for anything in return. His skills were impeccable and he was truly proud of his craft.
His giving personality extended well past work, and is the hallmark of all of his relationships; if you knew Jason, you were family instantly and there was not anything he would not do for you. He believed in giving respect to all, and kindness was at the root of his beliefs.
Having many hobbies, he enjoyed weightlifting, snowboarding, fishing, camping, and riding motorcycles. Above all else though, he simply enjoyed spending time with people, laughing and living each day to the fullest.
Though his life was cut short, if you met Jason, you were certainly lucky and are surely a better person because of him; to honor him, please continue to let his light of kindness shine in all that you do and always help out anyone in need, just because it is the right thing to do.
Surviving are his paternal grandparents, Marie and Oswald Campo; his brother and sister-in-law, Christopher & Aimee Luster; his sister, Jennifer Luster; his nieces and nephews, Olive, Charlotte and Christopher Jr.; his fiancé, Casey Russell, and her children whom Jason adored, Kayden, Kamryn, and Camdyn Russell; an aunt and uncle, John and Cynthia Campo; his step-father, Frank Luster; several extended family members; and many dear friends in NJ and CA that Jason considered as family.
