Jeff was a super guy and I was deeply saddened to learn of his passing. I was his manager at Two Guys Department Store when he worked part-time in the Camera Department. This was circa 1976-1978. Jeff made working "fun", had a great sense of humor, and we shared many great laughs together! All the other guys loved Jeff too! I have no doubt in the years after we lost touch (I moved out of state for years.) that Jeff continued making life joyful with all his friends and family and co-workers. That's just the kind of guy he was! The world was a brighter and happier place with Jeff in it. His passing is a terrible loss to all who knew him.

My condolence to the entire family. I got to know Jeff when we served on the NAIFA board for several years. Jeff was a kind soul, very thoughtful and always willing to help. Jeff you are missed and appreciated for all of your work during our time together. Until I see you again in our eternal life my friend.

Our thoughts, prayers, sympathy, and condolences are with the Calhoun Family at this time. I deeply regret that I cannot be there today for the service. Jeff was a mentor, manager, and friend to me. He gave me my start in the Insurance Industry later in life and introduced me to the professional organization of NAIFA. I will always be grateful for that amongst many other reasons and shared memories of working together with Jeff. What always stood out for me was Jeff' s humility and extension of himself to others. He was truly an American hero and if you were fortunate enough to get to know him, you could share in the stories he had to tell, also with great humility. There are so many great memories of the time we were able to spend together and they will always be cherished. Thank you for being you! May you all find peace and comfort in knowing him and all the lives that he touched.
