Jessica Leigh Robina Green, age 47 years, of Delaware Township, NJ, died peacefully on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at home, surrounded by her loving family and under the caring watch of Hunterdon Hospice.
Born on October 29, 1974 in Summit, NJ, daughter of Donna Lynn Morrell Robina Revels and Thomas Joseph Robina, she spent her teenage years in Baton Rouge, LA, and had lived in Destin, FL, New Providence, NJ, Warren, NJ, and Port Murray, NJ prior to moving to Delaware Township, NJ.
Sassy, sweet, strong-minded, and smart are but a few words that capture the spirit and soul of this loving daughter, granddaughter, sister, wife, and friend to many.
A hard worker who put passion into all she did, Jessica was formerly an Assistant Relationship Manager with Unity Bank in Flemington, NJ, as well as Peapack-Gladstone Bank in Somerset County, NJ. She was most recently working side by side with her husband, Scott, at their tree service company, Green Land, LLC.
Scott and Jessica met at a time in each of their lives when they were not looking for a relationship. Meeting at Unity Bank in Flemington, the pair formed a friendship based on mutual enjoyments, but also rooted in genuine care for the other. Jessica knew right away that Scott was special as she told her parents Scott was, ‘the one’. As Scott stated, “Jessica and I are simply the same person. She was my soulmate.” The couple married on May 11, 2019 in Manasquan, NJ.
A country girl at heart, Jessica and Scott filled their working days building the business, and their free time enjoying each other and living life to the fullest. From riding the back roads on their Harley-Davidson Fat Boy, to shooting their his/hers matching Sig Sauer pistols at the range, they just enjoyed being together. Having many hobbies, Jessica was known for creating and maintaining a masterful vegetable and flower garden where she grew many fresh vegetables that fit into her healthy living and eating style. Together they enjoyed cruising in their 2017 50th Anniversary Camaro, and working out together during their daily home gym sessions. Jessica was also famous for decorating and having an eye for style; she enjoyed redecorating the couples farmhouse, which dates back to 1790; she could always be found at Home Depot shopping for decor!
Family was important to Jessica, and she called her mom daily to chat. Her dad, well, all that needs to be said is that Jessica’s photo is under the caption of “Daddy’s Girl” in the dictionary. She loved him fiercely and there was nothing that Tom would not do for his ‘little girl’.
Though pancreatic cancer suddenly and viciously robbed Jessica of a future, what it could never do is steal the love and passion with which she lived her life. It also can never put out the fire she lit in all those she met to inspire them to live their lives with purpose. Jessica was a lady who was as comfortable in heels and a little back dress as she was in a t-shirt and jeans; it is this persona of being yourself which Jessica leaves for all as a guide to living!
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Ruth Robina, as well as by her step-mother, Annette Robina, and her uncle, Dr. John Robina.
Surviving are her husband, Scott Joseph Green; her mother and her longtime companion, Donna Lynn Morrell Robina Revels and Issac Forbes; her father, Thomas Joseph Robina; her paternal grandfather, Dr. Frank Robina; her maternal grandmother, Jacqueline Andrishok; her maternal grandfather, Gary Evans Morrell; her mother-in-law, Ruth Green O’Brien; her father-in-law, Mark Green; her brother and sister-in-law, Thomas E. and Ann-Mary Robina; her aunt and uncle who were more like her siblings as she was raised with them, Ashley Andrishok Simon and John Thomas Andrishok; her aunts and uncles, Renee Alexander, Richard Robina, Matt Robina, and Ellen Robina; her faithful puppy, Dixie; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family; and many dear friends made wherever she went.
