Stunned, devastated, heartbroken. These are the only words to describe how I feel. It's over two weeks and I still can't process that John is no longer here. We both started our careers at Agway part time while going to college.Me seven years before him.I've worked with and been friends with him since he was nineteen.A real genuine and caring human being. I am glad to have worked with him that last day Jan.30th. He was full of energy as usual, excited about spring as we planned what new plants we would be ordering. A great day overall with the many plans ahead. He stopped to help me close the gate at the end of the day with his usual "i'll see you tomorrow for coffee". The tomorrow's after that night will be different for me and the many customers lives he touched. I am truly grateful to have known him and will miss his smile and inspiring ways at work. John said “Happiness is having a hole in your roof” meaning that because his Charger had a rare sun roof option. Not only did his car give us all a smile on our faces, but John himself just brought us all Happiness to our lives! His car was a great reflection of him & I know we all will Never let go of the memories that we made with him. This picture here is a perfect example of how the car hobby brings people together. Because of it, I made life long friends & the best of friends. John was a true friend, & I’m glad we all had this moment together with him just weeks prior to leaving us. This one definitely hurts deep, but I know John wouldn’t want us to hurt, so I will be celebrating my buddy’s life to the fullest & I’m doing it with all our friends, John! Here’s to you Brother, Salute ?

You were one of our brethren and will always be remembered fondly. I know you will be with us whenever the crew get together. I am not looking forward to Carlisle this year for sure. It just won't be the same without you. Nothing we do will. Sleep in peace free of propane and traffic jams! ? Love and miss you greatly

I knew John for many years from the Kingwood United Methodist Church from about 1977. His family, their joy and willingness to help wherever needed is a big part of the reason I joined and stayed with the church. John and his brothers were in all the Christmas pageants along with my daughters. We could always count on the Kuster boys to help at all the suppers, work groups or social gatherings. I didn't see John or his family for a few years, as I moved away from Kingwood. But I was delighted to I find John Jr. again at the Raritan Agway about 10 years ago. I went back every Spring for gardening supplies and a great bear hug. The world is a colder place for me now knowing he's not in it. My sincere condolences to his brothers, their wives and families. It's a terrible loss.

It’s taken me several days to even take the time to write anything. Mopar John is gone. There it is, he’s has passed away. Jesus that pains me to even say such a thing! It happened ever so Suddenly, so unexpected. So many mixed emotions. I’m hurt, saddened, distraught, devastated, mad, blown away, I mean I know we aren’t immortal but good Lord All Mighty..Why him, why so young, why no warning. I didn’t even have time to say goodbye! One final Hug even. At least if I had a chance to say it maybe it would have helped in some way? Instead we talk one day and the next I can’t hear from him. I’m in denial. I mean We had so many plans, ideas, things to do, trips, his home improvements, floors in his airstream. The yard work. When things wouldn’t go his was He always would say to me, “What did I do to have this happen to me? Did I do something wrong?” “Why do I have this black cloud hanging over me?” To which I’d always, and I mean always reply, “Your time is coming Johnny, you’ve paid your dues and it’s your time next, your turn!” This was just a few days before he passed and Things in had just started happening for him, the tables were turning and his time was finally here. He was so excited and nervous about all the things he wanted to start working on. I will forever miss you my traveling companion, my confidant, my partner in crime, my drinking Buddy, LOVE YOU MY FRIEND!

We are devastated by John’s sudden passing. He was our dear friend, neighbor, really one of our family members. We would enjoy weekly fires, dinners and drinks ans the regular text messages from John. He was always there to lend a hand or share a wonderful story. We were beyond blessed to know him and have the time in our lives we had with him. Our condolences and prayers go out to his family and close friends. We miss John every day but will keep him in our daily thoughts to heal the hole his passing has left in our hearts.

I have known John since we were in our 20's. He was such an amazing, sweet, and loving friend. Sadly, the last time I saw John was 10 years ago, but it feels like just yesterday. In fact, all the fun we had in our 20's, 30's and early 40's seems like just yesterday. I will always remember his smile and how his eyes conveyed such love and warmth. He died way too young. My heart is broken.

Deepest condolences to John's family and friends. I first met John maybe 20 years or so ago at the Mopars @ Englishtown car show as I had a 69 Charger also. As it turns out, John's car was made 3 days before my charger. We started talking cars and instantly hit it off. John introduced me to many other car people throughout the years and even introduced me to The Dodge Charger Registry club. We ended up going to an event hosted by the Dodge Charger Registry in Gettysburg one time. I trailed my charger out there and John (as he always did) drove his charger out there. We get out there and he was going to get some refreshments and his car had no power. Come to find out his fusable link blew due to the alternator shorting out. I sent him and my Dad out to the auto parts store and I stayed back trying to get power to his car as there was a storm approaching and John's windows were down and his sun roof open. For those who don't know, John's 69 Charger had power window and sun roof which was a fairly rare option back then. I managed to rig up the wiring and got the windows closed just in time. As it was, I ended up replacing the alternator in the pouring down rain. I can't put a price on memories like that. John will definitely leave a void in our lives with him not being here to gain more memories with. However, each time we remember those memories, John will continue to live on through all of us. I'll miss you, John. Thank you for the memories !

I only knew John from his work, but he became the heart of the place. Always a smile, some gentle ribbing, but knowing exactly what you wanted and always lending a hand. Over time he was sharing stories of his life. He loved and took care of his ailing father at the end of his life. He shared his joy and photos of the house he bought and was so proud of, that he redecorated on a budget. His vintage camper and trips that he enjoyed with friends. He was a delight to see and he will be missed. Deep sympathy to family and friends. RIP John, Too young.

Mark & I were shocked & devastated to hear of Johnny's passing. Johnny was a wonderful person, with so many interests & talents. From camping, and fixing & going out in his Airsteam, to being one of the best kitchen workers, or maintaining his Charger. I will miss his Lemon Lush, that he would make for the Kingwood dinners, and the special Grilled Salmon dinners or having a glass of wine while chatting about things he wanted to fix in the house, car, or where he was going on camping trips Johnny was one of the best friends, and will be missed, a lot! Jason, Kelly, Jerome and families, you have our sincerest sympathies! Love, Charity & Mark Rinker

John was my first real boyfriend. He and I were friends starting in middle school. We both had a love for the Dukes of Hazzard. John took me to our Junior Prom. I was devastated our senior year when he broke up with me. Years later, at a high school reunion, he revealed to me why. My feelings regarding our break up melted away. I've loved John ever since. I'm truly heart broken over his passing. I can only offer my deepest condolences to his family. Please know, although we only kept in contact at reunions, that he will always have a place in my heart.
