It’s been years since I have seen John, and back then, it was always at a Raritan River Concerts (RRC) event, sometimes hosted by John and Rosanna. I remember meeting John at my first RR concert. He took our tickets and then at the reception after was helping clear up. He brought so much warmth to his role as a volunteer board member, made us feel welcome and happy to be among the Raritan River Concerts family. I remember his graciousness and the joy he emitted coupled with his thoughtfulness for both the business and creative sides of RRC’s offerings. At a vision session when I first started working with RRC, I remember John's astute comments and ability to bring people together. John always seemed to have a sparkle in his eye. It was clear that he adored Rosanna and their families. I always thought that John and Rosanna were an extra special couple. I was sad to read that John, Rosanna and family, were faced with the challenges of Alzheimers and that it took John’s life. I will remember John's friendliness, intelligence, energy, ability to bring people together, his smile -- how John was fun-loving demeanor and fun. I attended the memorial service on Saturday and was deeply touched.

John Perry was an extraordinary fellow, for he was a warm, intelligent, curious and unfailingly courteous gentlemen, who was always glad to see you, especially when visiting him at his home. He loved to travel and was ever-eager to start new business ventures among the people and countries he knew and loved. He was a faithful and loving husband to my sister Rosanna, and loving supporter of his two sons, J.P. and Ian. I learned many things from john, but perhaps the most vital was that it's OK to hug the people you care about. I will miss him, and after his long affliction, i hope that he is now in peace.

Rosanna JP, Ian, Adam and family - we are sorry for your loss of John. We will be praying for God's peace and comfort these days. John (Mickey as we called him) was my cousin and a friend. Our farm was next to our Grandparent's farm. John spent a lot of time , especially in the summers on the farm and we did a lot helping our Granddad farm. John even drove a team of horses helping on the farm as well as the tractor. He made me laugh a lot and even shared his favorite Root Beer with me. He was allways up for an adventure. John took me up for my first airplane ride. He was my best man when Judy and i got married in 1968. He will be missed but still in our hearts and minds. Jerry and Judy Seip

It is nigh impossible to explain the infectious humor that John exuded over the decades of our friendship. Always the sly one, his perceptions and remarks were classic, designed to get everyone to think on a different plane. A delightful raconteur and gracious to all, he injected life into every conversation, using humor and intelligence to make always pertinent observations that made one think beyond the norm. He and Rosanna were an amazing pair both before and after his illness gradually progressed. Despite her artistic pursuits and volunteer activities, no one could have been a more devoted and caring partner the past few years, always planning special treats for their visits. Doing whatever she could to lift his spirits and do her best, occasionally successful, to rouse a reaction from the John that used to be. Their love for each other transcended all the difficult times. That's what we will remember most. Sally Herb and Bob Cull
