Joe was my almost father-in-law and a man I totally respected and loved. As a fellow singer and musician, we always had such a connection, even over the years and over the miles. When I saw Joe last Labor Day weekend, it was like 20+ years had never passed. He even said, “It’s like Sue went to the kitchen, and there she is!!” I guess that’s how it is with true friends who are like family. I’m so glad I made that trip out there. We had the most lovely visit, and I hugged him extra tight when I left. I just had a feeling that would be the last time I’d ever see him. 😢 I started a song 🎶 about Joe when I heard the news about his passing. I hope I finish it. Here’s the chorus: Now it’s time to fly with the angels 😇 on golden wings above. Fly with the angels. Rest in peace in the arms of love. ❤️ Yes, rest in peace, my sweet, wonderful Joe. Till we meet again. Sue Smith

Oh what a great loss. My heart is with you and your entire family. He was an incredible man. He was as wonderful as my father. I loved the beautiful things he would write that you posted on your Facebook, truly gifted. Sending warm hugs and strength.

Dear Shannon, David and Jodi, We are sorry to hear of your Dad's passing. We have so many fond memories of your Mom, RoseMarie and Joe. John and I were reminiscing about our many trips to meet up with them in Atlantic City. Of course your Mom was the gambler and your Dad would come to hang out with us, eat at the restaurants and enjoy the overall casino experience. We used to love to hear his stories of his years as a musician and singer. Quite often Barbara and Bobby would join us and we'd hear about their many vacation exploits. We shall always remember your Dad as a true gentleman, always happy and enjoying life. Regretfully we cannot be there to say this in person, however our hearts and thoughts will be with you. Love, Darryl and John

Although I never meet Mr. Giuliani , I was born and raised in Stamford and lived there from 1952 till 1987. Entirely possible our paths may have crossed. Also spent many summers in Seaside Heights on Carteret St. I would like to comment on the fact Joseph was without a doubt a true Renaissance man and their passing should always be acknowledged. You as a family must be extremely proud and I know he will be missed. Be well....
