Joshua James Petrucelli, age 40 years, of Sergeantsville, NJ, died on Thursday, July 15, 2021 at Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ.
Born on June 18, 1981 at Overlook Hospital, Summit, NJ, Josh was the son of James Francis Petrucelli and Christine Frances Batiste Petrucelli. He was raised in Bethlehem Township, NJ, and had lived in Delaware Township for the past ten years.
Graduating from North Hunterdon High School in 2000, Josh was a Supervisor for Air Professionals, Frenchtown, NJ for the past twenty-two years. Known by his colleagues and clients for his vast knowledge and dedication to selfless service, Josh was always available, any time of the day or night, to help however he was able and could solve the most complex of issues.
Sweet, caring, affectionate, selfless, and empathic are but several adjectives that can be used to describe this amazing son, brother, husband, father, uncle, and friend to anyone he met.
With a gentle soul that knew the value of humility, Josh was always doing things to help bring the community together. He will be remembered by many each Christmas, as it was Josh who ensured that Sergeantsville had a Christmas Tree last year in an effort to unite the community as they were coming together after the pandemic.
Meeting his future wife, Kasey in 2011, it was love at first sight for them both and they would marry on August 3, 2014. Kasey and Josh were in sync with all they did, and their families combined seamlessly. Josh was known to say there’s no mine or hers, only ours.
Though his death is incomprehensible on almost every level, what is understandable is that Josh leaves an entire community to help ensure his children know the man their father was, is, and always will be so they too, can help carry his light and love forward in the world.
He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Michael Timothy Newman.
Surviving, in addition to his mother and father, are his wife Kasey Newman Petrucelli; his children, Kaylee Rose, Liam Michael, and Paisley Christine; his older brother and sister-in-law, Jason and Kelly Petrucelli; his younger sister, Jenna Petrucelli; his aunt, Dawn Burke-Watkins; his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Danielle and Mike Kempfe; his nieces, Cora and Sarah Primrose Petrucelli, and Jordan Kempfe; his mother-in-law, Debbie Newman Tine and her husband, Steve; his dogs, Charley and Frankie; his cat, Rex; several extended family members; his Air Professionals family; and many dear friends.
