June Eberle, age 81 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, went home to her Lord & Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, December 13, 2021 at her residence, surrounded by her loving family and under the caring watch of Hunterdon Hospice.
Born in Camden, NJ, August 9, 1940, daughter of the late William and Mildred Johnson Frazier, she had resided in Hunterdon County since 1980.
With a flair for style, June was the epitome of grace personified. An extremely talented artist, June was retired from Delaware Valley Regional High School where she taught art for many years. It was not just her mastery of paint, ceramics, photography and the like, it was the skill and the passion which she presented the material and encouraged her students to go to the depths of their heart not yet explored. She made a profound impact on many generations for the better, and her caring and sage advice, coupled with her smile, are everlasting.
June’s love of art came from her passion for the world created by the God whom she devoted her life to serving. Receiving Jesus’s word into her heart early in life, June had a passion for making sure the word of the Lord was spread across the majesty he created. Meeting her husband, the late Rev. Paul Eberle, the couple became missionaries and spent eighteen years in Sicily and other areas of Italy professing the love of Christ that could not be contained in just their own hearts. During their tenure in Italy, they helped to share the Gospel with many people and consequently helped to make the world a truly better place, while at the same time making friends who became family.
During their time abroad the couple would be blessed with three children, Barbara, Nate and Bethany, all whom honor their mother daily by living their lives being compassionate and kind, and loving strangers as family. June’s compassion for her fellow brothers and sisters was untempered in that she believed all people had potential and that genuine love and nurturing of spirit allowed each person to use the paintbrush God equipped them with at birth; and every canvas they painted was a beautiful one if it was done based on the tenets of compassion and love.
A fashionista, June dressed with a panache that was full of sparkle, yet reverent and humble at the same time. In addition to her abilities in the physical arts, she was also a prolific writer whose poetry touched hearts. She loved to travel which she and Paul did as much as possible, and any beach was a place to visit! She also enjoyed theater, photography, making her own ceramics and of course painting for family and friends. Reading Christian literature filled much of her time and meditating on God’s word and how to bring His light into the world filled her days.
For those struggling with June’s passing, she would want you to remember the words found in Isiah 40:31, But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. She would also want each person reading this to know that she is reunited with her beloved Paul, and is looking forward with hope to the day when she will see you again, give you a hug, and say, “Welcome Home!”
Surviving are her children, Barbara Eberle, Nate and his wife, Maryann Eberle, and Bethany and her husband, Jake Schuddeboom; her grandchildren, Joshua and Kyle Schuddeboom; her sister, Barbara Murray; her brother, Robert Frazier; her brother and sister-in-law, William and Janet Frazier; her sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Nancy and Roger Werner and Lucille and Dave Rondeau; her cats, Lexie and Leo; several extended family members; and many dear friends around the world.
