Linda Elizabeth Holzer, age 68 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, died peacefully on Monday, January 27, 2020 at home, surrounded by her loving family and under the caring watch of Hunterdon Hospice.
Born August 26, 1951 in Hollywood, FL, daughter of the late Edward and Sobedia Pereira Skowronek, she was raised in Hollywood and have lived in the Ringoes, NJ area for the past thirty-eight years
Earning her BS from Barry University, Linda had a long and fruitful career with AT & T. Her work afforded her the opportunity to travel to twenty-three countries and make friends around the world.
After retiring from AT & T, she followed her heart and passion, opening her own Childcare and Learning Center in Flemington, NJ. Named, “A Place 4 Kids”, Linda’s legacy will live on through the countless children she touched during her eighteen years of operation.
Full of ‘Joie de vivre’ and with a wonderful spirit, Linda was passionate, loving, kind, and thoughtful. She enjoyed many hobbies, including cooking as well as participating in the Facebook group, “Women of Hunterdon County”, where she would meet many friends and be remembered for her personality as a giver.
Surviving are her husband of thirty-eight years, with whom she joined hands in marriage on October 1, 1982, Donald; her son, Derek; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Helen West and her husband, Bill, and Laura Collodel and her husband, David; many extended family members in Cuba; and many dear friends around the world.
Life celebration services and cremation at the Chapel of Ewing Crematory, Ewing Township, NJ, are private under the care and direction of Wright & Ford Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 38 State Highway 31, Flemington, NJ.
