Linda P. Goldstein, age 72 years, former longtime resident of Long Island, NY, died peacefully on Thursday, December 2, 2021 at Hunterdon Care Center, Raritan Township, NJ.
Linda grew up in Flushing Queens, where she met her husband Richard when they were both still children. As a dedicated student, she graduated high school early and went on to earn two master’s degrees in childhood education. Linda had a lifelong career in public education as a schoolteacher, Hebrew school teacher, and as tutor for homebound students. Linda continued to teach even after retiring and volunteered her services at the Holocaust Memorial & Tolerance Center of Nassau County. She worked alongside holocaust survivors and ran programs educating students. Linda loved her family fiercely and would do anything to help and protect the people she loved.
Linda is survived by her husband, children, grandchildren, and sister.
Graveside services officiated by Rabbi Eric Cohen will take place on Sunday, December 5, 2021 at 12:30 p.m. at Wellwood Cemetery, 1400 Wellwood Avenue, West Babylon, NY 11704, under the care and direction of Wright & Ford Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 38 State Highway 31, Flemington, NJ.
Please plan to arrive at the cemetery beginning at 12:15 p.m. on Sunday. Everyone is kindly requested to gather near the main administration building of Beth Moses & Wellwood Cemetery (located on the Beth Moses side). Wright & Ford Care Team Family Ambassadors will direct you upon arrival at the office. Please do not go directly to the graveside but rather wait and follow the procession to the site. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated by the family.
Realizing that some people may be unable to attend, the funeral services will be live-streamed on Sunday beginning at 12:25 p.m. Please click the PLAY button on Linda’s main obituary page where it says ‘Service Video’. Shiva will be held according to the following schedule and all are welcomed to join the family (masks are encouraged while indoors):
Sunday and Monday, December 5 and 6, 2021:
at the Byne-Goldstein Residence, 4 Hoagland Way, Ringoes, NJ 08551. Friends will be received Sunday beginning at 6 p.m., with services at 7: 00 p.m. and on Monday with friends being received beginning at noon with services at 7:00 p.m.
Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, December 7, 8 and 9, 2021:
at the residence of Richard Goldstien, 5 Barnett Road, Flemington, NJ 08822. Friends will be received each day from 5:00 p.m. on, with services at 7:00 p.m. each night
