Maryann Peccia, affectionately known to her friends and family as Mae, passed away peacefully on July 23, 2024.
Born in Orange, NJ, on June 13, 1970, she brought warmth and joy into this world for 54 years. She grew up in Hillside, where she established lifelong friendships. Finally settling in Flemington, where she lived with her family for 22 years. Maryann lit up every room she entered and had a unique talent of connecting with people. Her vibrant spirit and the memories she created will continue to live in the hearts of those who knew her.
From an early age, Maryann had dreams of finding a partner, having children, and becoming a wonderful, loving wife and mother. She was successful in accomplishing all of these. She also had a talent for interior design and worked part time as a licensed nail technician, but her true passion was caring for and managing her household for her husband, sons, and family. Maryann loved to shop and find items to warm up her home and loved to decorate it. She also loved to cook for her family, as well as her extended family and friends. Those who knew Maryann would describe her as loving, kind, and thoughtful. Whether she bumped into a stranger at Shop Rite or met someone at a function, she seemed to always connect with people and touched their hearts. Her legacy will always be defined as a devoted wife and mother, who loved her family and friends dearly. She always stressed the importance of family to her children and the significance of finding happiness in everyday life.
Maryann was the beloved wife of Anthony Peccia, with whom she shared a life full of love for 30 years. Together, they raised two wonderful sons, Anthony and Michael. Maryann was a cherished member of a large family, including her late father, Max Gallardo; mother, Theresa Marzulla; stepfather, Michael Marzulla; and sisters, Chasity and Desarie. She had a large extended family including many aunts; uncles; cousins; nieces; nephews; and many dear friends, whom she adored. Each family member and friend brought unique joy to her life, and she loved them all dearly.
As we mourn the loss of Maryann Peccia, we also celebrate the remarkable life she led. Though she has left this earth, the seeds of love she planted in all of us will continue to grow, and her memory will live on forever. She has left this world a better place, and for that, we are eternally grateful. Rest in peace, Maryann, for your life was truly a masterpiece.
