Neil Andrew Brinkerhoff 1st, age 73 years, of Kingwood Township, NJ, died suddenly but peacefully on Thursday, May 30, 2024, at the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ.
Born on February 6, 1951, in Jersey City, NJ, he is survived by his son, Neil Andrew Brinkerhoff II; his daughter, Cindy Lee Bryant; his grandson, Neil Andrew Brinkerhoff III; several extended family members; and many dear friends.
Neil faithfully served his country as a member of the United States Army during Vietnam from 1971 to 1973. He was a well respected diesel mechanic oil the Army nd did his basic training at Ft. Dix in New Jersey.
He was an avid hunter who passed the love of the outdoors to his son and grandson.
He will be forever remembered as a loving father and grandfather who worked his whole life to support his family. He was essentially Charles Bronson in the Great Escape and Sam Elliot in Roadhouse combined into one man!

Graveside services and inurnment at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown, PA, will be announced under the care and direction of Wright & Ford Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 38 State Highway 31, Flemington, NJ.
