Patricia (Patty) Ann Zimmerman Borstelmann, age 60 years, of Pocono Township, PA, died on Tuesday, December 20, 2022, at her home.

Born on December 16, 1962, in South Plainfield, NJ, daughter of the late Roy and June Zimmerman, for the last 30 years, Patty lived her life in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania.

With a passion for being in the outdoors and spending time in nature, she would constantly be taking pictures of the next critter to show up on her back doorstep (and make sure everyone she knew saw it too!!).

For years, Patty worked for the Pennsylvania Bureau of Forestry, helping to protect and manage the beautiful surrounding areas. Any opportunity to be outside, she took.

A social butterfly and life of the party, when Patty walked into a room, you knew, your friends knew, and the neighbors down the road knew. Everywhere she went, she brought smiles. There wasn’t anyone she couldn’t get along with. Her best quality though, was her willingness to do absolutely anything for someone she cared about. It didn’t matter if you were blood, or someone she was friends with 20 years ago, if you needed something she was there. If she didn’t have a shirt on her back to give you, she’d find or make one for you. She was everyone’s best, most reliable friend.

Patty will be remembered for her kindness, good spirit, and willingness to go above and beyond to help anyone in need. She will be missed, but her legacy will live on through all those who were touched by her caring heart.

Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Brad and Madison Borstelmann; her siblings, Mark and his wife, Mary Zimmerman and Mary and her husband, Richard Knabe; her nieces and nephews, Matthew Zimmerman, Connor Zimmerman, Aiden Zimmerman, Thomas Knabe, Megan Borstelmann, Ryan Borstelmann, and Julia Borstelmann; several extended family members; and many dear friends.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate the life of this most amazing soul on Saturday, September 30, 2023, from 1:00-2:30 p.m., in the Chapel of Wright & Ford Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 38 State Highway 31, Flemington, NJ.
