Peter C. Oesterwinter

November 26, 1968 - March 10, 2021

Peter C. Oesterwinter, age 52 years, of Frenchtown, NJ, died on Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital-Somerset, Somerville, NJ.

Born in San Mateo, CA on November 26, 1968, son of Rita Wittorf Oesterwinter and the late Horst Oesterwinter, he came to NJ in 1991, prior to moving to Frenchtown twenty-five years ago.

Surviving are his wife, Linda Reilly Oesterwinter; a daughter, Jessica Oesterwinter; a son, Joshua; several extended family members; and many dear friends.

A funeral service celebrated by Fr. Ronald Pollock will take place on Saturday, July 09, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 158 West High Street, Somerville, NJ. Everyone is kindly asked to meet directly at the church on Saturday morning beginning at 10:45 a.m.

Cremation at the Chapel of Ewing Crematory, Ewing, NJ, was private under the care and direction of Wright & Ford Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 38 State Highway 31, Flemington, NJ.

Peter was a nice young man. Good father and suffered for a long time with ALS. The lord has called him home and so he is not suffering any more

Peter was a very nice young man and did not deserve the illness he got Rest In Peace Ann

Fly freely, my sweet baby brother. You will live in my heart forever.

Admiring Peter was an easy thing to do. Widely talented and humble to his core, Peter was fun to be around and offered deeply engaging friendships. I will cherish my memory of him always.

Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

Even as we lost sight of each other during turbulent times I still enjoy remembering our flights together out of Rocky Hill as well as flying our remote controlled airplanes behind our office. One day, we will be flying together again, my friend.

We are very sad to learn of Peter's passing. We met Peter through our son Ethan. Ethan and Josh were inseparable in their younger years and loved sharing RC planes with Peter. Peter also had a few things to teach Ethan and the love he had for flight. Rest in peace, you will be greatly missed.

You will be sorely missed Mr. Peter. Heaven has truly gained another genuinely beautiful angel! We are here for you Jess and Josh❤❤.

Dear Linda and Family, Words fail to express my sorrow for Peter’s passing. I worked with Peter for 3 years in the late 90’s at Altech Corporation. We were both in customer service. Peter knew our products inside and out. Anytime I needed assistance with a part for a customer Peter was my go to man. We were a small department which made us all close. There were times we were very stressed but times we had alot of laughs and fun. May loving memories of Peter bring you all peace , comfort and strength.
