Rena “Joyce” Rotella, age 70 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, died peacefully on Tuesday, June 16, 2020 at Complete Care at Green Knoll, with her loving husband, Jerry, by her side.
Born July 5, 1949, in Nitro, West Virginia, daughter of the late Clifford and Mearl Lanham Wheeler, she had resided in Raritan Township for many years.
Retired from the Hunterdon County Building and Grounds Department, Joyce was an avid gardener and enjoyed camping all around the United States, with Gettysburg, PA being one of her favorites.
A ‘county girl’, she loved driving through the serene landscapes of Hunterdon County and admiring everything from the covered bridge in Delaware Township to to pristine Delaware River. She also greatly enjoyed antiquing and flea markets.
Her favorite past time though, was time spent with her family, especially her adored grandchildren who learned much from her generous and caring heart.
Surviving are her devoted husband of fifty-two years, Jerry Rotella, Sr.; cherished son, Jerry Rotella, Jr.; cherished daughter and son-in-law, Angela and Joseph Panico; dear grandmother of six grandchildren; and a loving sister and aunt to many.
