Richard Alcid “Goose” Stauffer, age 76 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, died peacefully on Saturday, January 14, 2023, at Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ.

Life celebration services followed by cremation at the Chapel of Somerset Hills Memorial Park Crematory are private under the care and direction of Wright & Ford Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 38 State Highway 31, Flemington, NJ.

Burial in the family plot will take place in Mr. Calvary Cemetery, Hasting, MI.

I am so sorry to hear about Goose. I met him at Independence Manor about 7 years ago when I went to work there with one of the residents. We often sat in the garden and talked about his early life in Michigan, his college days and his career as a buyer of fine linens. We shared a love of birds who we kept well fed in the courtyard. He was a very sweet man and I know many will miss him. Hope he is singing with the angels! My sympathy to his family. Sally
