The tree reminds us of the Arbor Day Trees Bob planted. They were so tiny we laughed but the trees grew into towering giants we will remember.

TC Buchanan left a message on November 2, 2024:
Two of my friends and I used to do contemporary guitar worship music at St Magdalen's 5 pm Mass where Bob served as an usher. It always took us a while after Mass to get the music platform cleared off, set up for the next Mass and get ourselves and our equipment organized enough to get out of church. By the time we finished, everyone was long gone from the church except for Bob. He was very kind to us and always waited patiently for us so he could shut the lights off and lock the church up even though I'm sure he really wanted to get home to his family and dinner. Thank you Bob. May you now rest in the arms and heart of Jesus.
Charlie Gordon left a message on November 2, 2024:
I met Bob about 15 years ago in the Coffee Shop. Just two guys who struck a conversation and in no time we discovered that we were both Navy and Viet-Nam vets. Unknown to both of us was the fact that are paths had kind of crossed when both of our ships were in Viet-Nam at the same time in 1967 and at the time of the Forrestal disaster. From that time onward we became fast friends and we frequently, usually at least weekly, had coffee and breakfast together at the Coffee Shop. Bob also frequented my store. (The St. Michael Shop) and loved the statue of St.Michael he purchased. I will deeply miss him and the Coffee Shop will now always be a place of bittersweet memories for me. Rest in peace my friend.
Kenneth and Susan Powell left a message on November 2, 2024:
The actor John Hurt once said: "We are all just passing time and occupy our chairs very briefly". Though Bob's time here was far too short for a man with his energy and enthusiasm for life, we are all blessed that he occupied his chair so well and we are the better for having known him. Deepest condolences to his family as we all mourn the loss of a true patriot!

My thoughts, prayers and love are with Carolyn, Michelle, Kimmy, Dana and their families. I always enjoyed seeing Bob at our family events. He was a wealth of information and home repair knowledge. I often counseled with him on my homeowner projects...he definitely knew what he was doing and loved to share how to fix things. If I had a question, he had an answer. Really nice guy...I will miss his smile and presence at family gatherings. May he rest in peace.
