We’re sending our condolences out to Ty, Tierney, and the Parker Family. We were so sorry to hear of Steve’s sudden passing. We will always have fond memories of Steve at the many baseball fields and basketball gyms watching and cheering on our boys. He was always there to lend a helping hand and it would be difficult to find a more good-hearted person than Steve. May you Rest In Peace. Pete and Janet LaGuardia
Fran and Walt Fedyna left a message on April 5, 2020:
We were so sorry to hear of Steve's passing. We know Steve from the days of the Flemington Flames Softball League when Walt, for 8-10 years, coached Tierney. Steve is a big part of the fond memories we have during those years. Tierney was one of many young ladies who exemplified the hard work and perseverance of working as a team member of a team who rose to great heights in girls' softball. And Steve was always there to cheer on his daughter and was an integral part of the parent "team" who set the highest of standards for their daughters. We send our thoughts and prayers to Steve's family, as they hold their fond memories in their hearts forever.

It was so hard to hear about the heart wrenching news of Steve’s passing. We have known Steve for more than seven years and been a great neighbor, friend, and person who helped us many times. He always stopped his car and said hello or honked especially to our children. My daughter remember him as the only one who bought something from her first garage sale when she was seven and my car lover son as the “Steve with the cool car and trucks”. Steve would do anything to make anyone around him happy. My daughter remembers “One day after school I was walking home and you were watering my neighbors plants. You would ask how my day was and you would just brighten my day up. When I walked into my house that day I was in such a good mood, and now I look back at it and realizes how much your gestures mean. I would be playing in the backyard with my brother then my dad would realize something was broken and within a split second you would be there to help us, cracking jokes .” Dear Steve- there are very few people in the world who can do what you have done leaving immutable solicitude in our hearts. You will be sadly missed and will live in our hearts forever. Tierney, Tyler and family - We are so sorry for your loss and may God bless you with all the strength to overcome this very difficult time. Joys family

With heavy hearts we want to say how sorry we were to hear of Steve’s passing. We will treasure our memories with Steve always whether it be on the FRB field with our boys (how they loved him also!) to our more recent ones. His surprise visits to our home while riding his bike or zooming up the driveway with the scion just to say Hi will be greatly missed, He brightened our day with “Steve” stories which made all of us laugh out loud, He always spoke of Tyler and Tierney with great admiration as the proud father that he was. We will truly miss you Steve and your big smile and your enduring friendship - Rest In Peace our friend - you will remain in our hearts forever.❤️ The Kaminsky Family

We are deeply saddened to hear of Steve's passing and our thoughts and prayers go out to the Parker Family. We remember Steve as a true Super Fan and so supportive of Tyler and all of the boys during the FRB days. Over the years, we would run into Steve around town and spend time catching up on Tyler and "the guys". Steve was one of us, one of a kind and will truly be missed.

Tyler, I don't know of any man who loved his son more. From our days as Little League coaches, through the years he coached you and my sons on those youth Championship Basketball teams, to your years in college and then your career... He was always bragging about "his boy." I'm proud to have known him and I know you'll continue to make him proud!

How does one find the words? You were always there for us in good times and in bad. You made sure your friends and family were cared for. You never turned away even when times were hard. More than anyone I have ever met, you constantly reached out to others because you cared for them and loved them. Because of you, everyone in your life knows they are loved and appreciated. With you as a friend we never walked alone. You snuck up on our hearts, my friend. We lovingly called you our pain-in-the-ass friend. You were always around and we took your presence for granted. We never thought the day would come when you would not be there. You were a constant. You were unselfish. You were a good man. They say the measure of love is to love without measure. You epitomize this phrase. Steve, you will remain with us in our thoughts and in our hearts. You will be there every time we hear a booming “Good Mornin’.” You will be there whenever someone reaches out to us to ask how we are doing or if we need anything. We will think of you every time we see a Toyota Scion or a car wash or a bulldog. We will remember you when we see an Oreo, a bottle of Absolute, red grapes, a AAA truck, and each time we pass Jake’s Restaurant. You will live on in all the memories we hold dear in our hearts. Two hours after I spoke to you last I spotted a Bald Eagle perched in a tree overlooking the river. I thanked God for the unusual and beautiful sight. Little did I know, it was you. It was the exact time you passed away. I truly believe that God sent that eagle to remind me that you are safe with him, that you are at peace. You trusted in God and he raised you up on Eagles wings and is holding you in the palms of his hands. The last memory I have of you is from a few hours before you passed. You were dropping off a dinner for me to deliver to a homebound senior. That act is a perfect example of your spirit and of the man you were. May we all carry a piece of your goodness with us and share it with everyone we meet. That is your legacy Steven Jay Parker. I love you and I already miss you.

So heartbreaking that such a sweet, wonderful man has passed too early. Steven used to walk my sister Laurie and me home from school and carry my books. He always said I was his first love. I hadn’t seen Steven in years, but we kept in touch through FB and text. Rest in Paradise. You will be missed by so many.
