Tessa Kehsowan Yap, age 77 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, died peacefully on Thursday, January 30, 2020 at her home, surrounded by her loving family and under the caring watch of Hunterdon Hospice.

Born in Naguilian Isabela, Philippines, May 3, 1942, daughter of the late Kun Kuy Keh and Avelina Yap, she had formerly lived in Manhattan, NY and Hillsborough, NJ prior to moving to Raritan Township in 1990.

Earning her MA from The College of New Jersey in 1975, she was a Chemical Engineer for Heraeus Instrument and then owned and operated Kenneth Technology for many years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Milagros So King Yap Keh in 2017 and Isabel Consejo Yap Cu in 2019.

Surviving are two sisters and a brother-in-law, Cecilia Keh and Lourdes and William Boyle; a brother and sister-in-law, Kaymen and Sheila Keh; a niece, Ernestine Keh; a nephew, Kenneth Keh; several extended family members around the world; and many dear friends.

Tessa will lie in repose on Saturday, February 1, 2020 from 10:00-11:30 a.m. in the Chapel of Wright & Ford Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 38 State Highway 31, Flemington, NJ.

A Mass of Christian Burial celebrated by Rev. Matthew Marinelli will take place on Saturday, February 1, 2020 at Noon at St. Magdalen Church, 105 Mine Street, Flemington, NJ 08822.

Entombment in the family crypt will follow at St. Magdalen Mausoleum, 99 North Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
