Tina Celeste Buchel, age 60 years, of Pohatcong Township, NJ, died peacefully at home on Monday, June 21, 2021, surrounded by her cherished family.
Born in Albuquerque, NM, August 26, 1960, daughter of the late Travis and Onella Lynch Allen, she had lived in Albuquerque until moving to New Jersey in 1995.
Her move to the East Coast was one of love, as it was to be closer to her true love and soul mate, Glen A. Buchel, with whom she joined hands in marriage on October 12, 1996 after having met as members of the bridal party of mutual friends. Meeting at a rehearsal dinner, the two were hooked instantly.
Loving Glen with all her heart, Tina never imagined that her life could be more full—until of course, her daughter, Amanda, and son, Adam were born.
Motherhood was not just a title Tina had because she had children; it was to her, a badge of honor and pride that required hard work and dedication. Her husband and children fondly recall Tina as their source of strength and their biggest supporter in all their endeavors. She let her kids be kids, and encouraged them to follow their passions, whatever road they led down, as long as they continued to be loving and kind people.
Having many hobbies, she enjoyed camping, cooking, shopping, gardening, and anything that involved just being with family and friends. Her New Mexican cuisine was a favorite of everyone as they gathering around a camp fire, laughing and appreciating one another. Of course, a night at the races watching her children drive was also top on her list of things to experience. She surely will guide their hands each time they drive onto the track chasing that checkered flag.
Small but mighty, the last two years were a fight that Tina won with grace and dignity. During this time she taught everyone around her what compassion and love truly mean. She believed and practiced what her friends referred to as TLC (Tina’s Loving Care) in all that she did, and her legacy of TLC for all people will never fade.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Lisa Morga in 2005.
Surviving are her husband, Glen; her daughter, Amanda; her son, Adam; her step-mother, Bette Allen; her siblings, Rhonda Davis, Janene Buhr, and David Allen; her beloved lab, Finn and amazon parrot, Bird; several nieces, nephews, and extended family members; and many dear friends.
