William “Willie” P. Hayden

William “Willie” P. Hayden, aged 84, of Flemington, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on August 12, 2024. Born on July 25, 1940 in Dublin, Ireland he immigrated to Far Hills, NJ in 1958. Willie spent many years as a groundskeeper for the Malcolm Forbes Estate in Bedminster and later for the Old Egg Auction in Flemington where he was known for his hard work and ability to make everyone laugh.

Due to difficult circumstances in his childhood, Willie was separated from his biological family for most of his life, but through DNA testing, he recently reconnected with some of his relatives in Ireland.

Willie will be remembered by his “American Family”, as he called them, Anna and Tom Fallon and their children, Ellie and Alex, as well as all those he touched with his bright smile and quick wit.

Interment will take place in his beloved Ireland, at Dunlaven Cemetery,  at a later date.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Wright & Ford Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 38 State Highway 31, Flemington, NJ.
