Arthur William Soriano, Jr., age 73 years, of Readington Township, NJ, died suddenly but peacefully on Friday, April 26, 2024, at his home.
Born December 16, 1950, in Somerville, NJ, son of the late Arthur William Soriano and Mary Carlino Soriano, Art was a simple, humble soul who worked hard and will be forever remembered as a true family man.
Serving as a Vice-President for Credit Suisse in New York City, NY, for many years, Art was a true master of his craft, specializing in tax policy matters. He loved to assist colleagues, family, and friends with his keen ability to help numbers make sense. He also owned and operated Soriano & Associates for many years. The firm helped small business with their accounting and tax matters, and Art’s genuine care for his clients was an inspiration to all.
An avid New York Yankees fan, when he wasn’t at the stadium or rooting them on from his couch, Art would be playing or listening to music. He had a true passion for music that rivaled most professional musicians. In his younger years, he played saxophone and was part of a band, “Jade”, that played the New Jersey wedding circuit.
Mother Nature also held a special place in Art’s world. He greatly enjoyed doing anything outdoors, from hiking to fishing to working in his yard. He was known to spend a large amount of time watching the ‘Eagle Cam’ at Duke Farm, and was a valiant supporter of their mission.
Though his time on Earth was shorter than anyone could of expected, his legacy of humility and compassion will not soon be forgotten and will surely live on through his children and grandchildren, who were the lights of his life.
Surviving are his wife, Michele Steindecker Soriano; his children and their partners whom Art considered his children as well, Bill Soriano and Michelle Kuczynski, Michael and Debra Pino Betancourt, and Kristin and Justin Flammia; his four grandchildren, Diego, Quinn, Carter, and Isabella; his brother and sister-in-law, Anthony and Mary Kate Soriano; his sister-in-law, Cindy Mennona; several extended family members; and many friends.
Life celebration services and interment are private under the care and direction of Wright & Ford Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 38 State Highway 31, Flemington, NJ.
