Carolyn M. Funk, age 89, of Raritan Township, NJ, died Thursday, August 21, 2008, at the Hunterdon Care Center in Raritan Township, NJ. She was born on September 5, 1918, in Fords, NJ the daughter of the late George and Mary Yaczina and lived in Avenel, NJ and Stanton, NJ before moving to Raritan Township in 1990. Until her retirement in 1980 Mrs. Funk was employed by Dr. Samuel Olsher Dentistry in Whitehouse Station, NJ as a dental assistant. Prior to moving to Hunterdon County she was employed by National Pneumatic Company in Rahway, NJ as a timekeeper. Her husband Robert A. Funk pre-deceased her in 1980. Surviving are three children, Barbara Kuhlman and her fianc Richard Simon of Raritan Township, NJ, Krystine Martin and her husband Brian of Ephrata, PA; Edward Funk and his fianc Mary Sweeney of Lancaster, PA; three grandchildren, Suzanne, Ellen and Michael; seven nieces and nephews and many great-neices and great-nephews. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2008 at 2:00 PM in the Robert L. Ford Funeral Home, #38 Highway 31, Flemington, NJ.
