Edward A. Ulrich, age 84, of Lebanon, NJ passed away on Sunday, October 16, 2011, at Rolling Hills Care Center in Lebanon, NJ. He was born on May 12, 1927, in Hillside, NJ the son of Edward A. and Meta A. Ulrich. A 1945 graduate of Flemington High School he served in the US Army in 1945 and 1946. He then served in the National Guard in Flemington for 18 years as Executive Officer and resigned as a First Lieutenant. Ed was employed by the Hunterdon County Library for many years and drove the bookmobile. He was director of Audio Visual Aids for Hunterdon County Schools and Computer Director for 25 years until his retirement. Ed s hobby in the 1960 s was go-cart racing. He enjoyed attending many organ recitals and was active at the Flemington Senior Center until he became too ill to participate. He is survived by his sister Glenna L. Smith and husband Roger of Loveland Colorado and brother Louis A. Ulrich and wife Julia of Gillett, PA. Funeral services are private under the direction of the Robert L. Ford Funeral Home, #38 Highway 31, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be in Checkerville Cemetery, Checkerville, PA.
