Glenn W. Harmon, age 79, formerly of Raritan Township, NJ passed away Monday October 3, 2011. He was born April 17, 1932 in Canton, OH, son to the late Lyman and Ellen (McMann) Harmon and lived in Raritan Township for many years before moving to North Canton, OH several years ago. Glenn was very patriotic and proudly served our country in both the United States Army and Navy. He belonged to American Legion Post #44 in Ohio and the Am Vets and was a former member of American Legion Post 159, Flemington. Glenn was an avid NY Mets fan. Until retiring in 1991 he was employed by Hunterdon Central High School in Flemington. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Clair Harmon and sister, Kay Ann Wuchnick. Survivors include his nieces, Debra (Gus) Carn of North Canton, Wendy (John) Wuchnick-Gibbs of Houston, Texas; great nephew, Jason Holderbaum (Ashley Lanzo) of North Canton; great niece, Lillian Gibbs of Houston, Texas., and many dear friends from the American Legion. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 8, 2011 at 10am in the Robert L. Ford Funeral Home, #38 Highway 31, Flemington, NJ. Calling hours will be held from 9am until time of service. Entombment will follow in St. Magdalen s Mausoleum, Flemington, NJ. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to any Veterans Organization.
