Irene E. Kozicki, age 86 years, of Readington Township, NJ, died on Wednesday, April 5, 2017, at the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ.
She was born July 5, 1930, the daughter of the late Teofil and Mary Sledzewski, in Bloomfield, NJ.
Irene worked for the Flemington National and Hunterdon County Banks, and was a co-owner of Flemington Aluminum and Brass Foundry, with her late husband, Edward H. Kozicki. They married on September 2, 1951.
A graduate of Flemington High School, Irene was a girl scout leader, ran the Readington Recreation Easter Egg Hunts and Halloween parades, was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Flemington where she was a Fellowship Chairman and published the church cookbook, and a member of the Polish American Citizens Club of Whitehouse, NJ.
She is survived by a son and his wife, James and Lynne Kozicki; a daughter Christine Offenhauer; grandchildren, Tim and Jen Kozicki, and Bill, Kevin and Brian Mann; and a great-granddaughter, Nicole Baskin.
Funeral Services officiated by Rev. Bob Mueller and Rev. Otto Reinbacher, will be held on Monday, April 10, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. in St. Paul Lutheran Church, 201 State Highway 31, Flemington, NJ under the care and direction of Wright & Ford Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 38 State Highway 31, Flemington, NJ. This will be preceded by a visitation from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. in the Church. Interment will follow at St. Magdalen’s Cemetery, North Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
A time of fellowship and a luncheon for family and friends will follow the committal at noon in St. Paul Lutheran Church.
