Joseph Ruiz, formally of Flemington Joseph Ruiz of Rockaway Township, NJ died on Monday, November 8, 2010, at the Hunterdon Medical Center in Raritan Township, NJ. He was 73. Born in Brooklyn, NY, on May 17, 1937, he was the son of Manuel and Margarita Ruiz. He left Brooklyn at the age of 17 and moved to Wharton, NJ, where he worked as a machine repairman at Wharton Brassiere Company. He also served in the Army National Guard for nine years and was honorably discharged. He later started a landscaping business and also bought a milk dairy that delivered milk and dairy goods to homes and businesses. After he sold his business, he went to work for Johanna Farms in Flemington until he retired. He was a huge fan of the Brooklyn Dodgers and remained a fan when they moved to the LA Dodgers. He is predeceased by his parents. A brother, Eddie, died three weeks ago. Surviving are his four daughters, Lisa Lascelle of Flemington, Annette Busch, Diane Stephens, and Patty Hernandez, and two brothers, Donny and George as well as 10 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
