Kenneth Mitchell Kacsmar, age 54 years, of Bridgewater Township, NJ, died peacefully in his sleep on Tuesday, July 23, 2019.
Born in Irvine, Ayrshire, Scotland on January 27, 1965, he was raised in the Bradley Gardens section of Bridgewater, NJ, he was a lifelong Hunterdon and Somerset County area resident.
A man with a heart of gold, if you knew Kenny you were lucky enough to know a man who was a friend in every sense of the word.
Graduating Bridgewater-Raritan High School West in 1983, for over twenty years Kenny owned and operated “Ken the Mobile Mechanic” repair shop. He saw a need for those who got stuck or stranded, and wanted to ensure they always had someone who would go right to them and help them in whatever way was needed. Kenny was always mechanically inclined, and there simply was not anything he was unable to fix! By a simple description or a sound, he could diagnose and repair anything from a diesel engine to a leaky faucet.
Family and friends were important to Kenny; adjectives such as kind, caring and loving easily describe him, as do strong, courageous and invincible. He had a soft spot for children, and his grandchildren were his world.
Having many varied hobbies, he greatly enjoyed hunting, fishing and anything outdoors. He loved to grow vegetables and enjoyed eating his fresh spoils while playing a fun game of poker or rooting for the Dallas Cowboys and the New York Yankees.
Though his death was unexpected, Kenny would tell all those reading this that life will continue to move forward and there would be no sense mourning him. Rather, he would encourage everyone to live their own lives and follow their dreams, as he did.
He was preceded in death by his biological mother, Beverly Ann Tammaro Kacsmar; paternal grandmother, Josephine Kacsmar and his cherished uncle, John Kacsmar.
Surviving are his father and mother, Michael Jr. and Nancy Kacsmar; his wife of twenty years, Emily Villabona Kacsmar; his children, Kenneth Kacsmar, Jr., Erica Brewer and her husband, Brad, Kelsey Kaleta, Casey Jachelski and her husband, Mark, and Gabriel Kacsmar; his grandchildren, Jayden, Wyatt, Lilah, and Charlene; his siblings, Michael and Beth Kacsmar, Jeannene and Jeff Blake, Angela Demetriou, and James and Emily Kacsmar; his mother-in-law, Haydee Villabona; a sister-in-law, Ann Armahizer; his two faithful dogs, Bonnie and King; several nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family; and many dear friends.
