Mary C. Gormley, age 93, of Raritan Township, NJ, died Saturday, September 7, 2013, at the Hunterdon Care Center in Flemington, NJ. She was born on October 5, 1919, in Brooklyn, NY the daughter of the late John and Mary Ann (Meehan) Flynn and lived there all her life before moving to Raritan Township in 1998. She attended St Catherine s School in Flatbush and was a parishioner of St Catherine s Church and a member of the Altar Rosary Society there. Until her retirement Mary was a secretary employed by Travelers Insurance Company, New York City. Her husband, Staff Sergeant Harry F. Gormley was killed in action during World War II on November 2, 1944. Surviving are two Sisters, Anna Sullivan of Pleasantville, NJ, Theresa Skolits of Raritan Township, NJ and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will begin on Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at 11:00 am from the Robert L. Ford Funeral Home, #38 Highway 31, Flemington, N.J. followed by a funeral liturgy at Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Three Bridges, NJ at 12:00 Noon.
