Rose Horber, 87, of Flemington (Delaware Township), NJ, died Friday, August 8, 2014, at home. She was born in Romania, the daughter of the late Ludwig and Elizabeth Altvater, and lived in Germany before coming to the U.S. in 1951, living in New York City, New York, before moving to Delaware Township in 1959. She was a homemaker and a parishioner of St. Magdalen’s Church, Flemington, NJ. Her husband, Michael Horber, predeceased her in 1998. Surviving are two daughters, Anne Francis and her husband William of Newport News, Virginia; and Rose Hrehowesik of Delaware Township, NJ; four grandchildren, David Francis, Suzanne Handlin, Stacie Faber and Janet Hrehowesik; and six great-grandchildren. The funeral will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 13, 2014, from the Robert L. Ford Funeral Home, 38 Hwy. 31, Flemington, NJ, to celebrate the funeral liturgy at 10:00 a.m. in St. Magdalen’s Church, Flemington, NJ. Entombment will follow in St. Magdalen’s Mausoleum.
