Alice P. Tronco, age 103 years, of Kingwood Township, NJ, died peacefully at her home on Tuesday, November 4, 2015.
Born in Luzerne, PA, April 3, 1912, daughter of the late Louis and Marie Cheoski Romanowski, she had formerly lived in Jersey City, NJ, Bordentown, NJ and Flemington, NJ prior to moving to Kingwood Township in 2003.
An extremely hardworking woman who, instead of overusing the phrase, “I Love You,” showed her love to her family in friends in other ways; for example she would bake ten homemade pies instead of one and whatever anyone needed, she was the first one to be there for them.
For many years, she worked alongside her husband, William Gaten Tranco, as he operated his fruit and produce business, “Tronco’s Fruit & Vegetables” in Jersey City, NJ. He died in 2003 after many wonderful years together.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Joseph Pitrowski.
Alice is survived by five children, Dorothy Deane of Murraysville, PA; Kathleen Tronco and her husband, Leonard Keller of Kingwood Township, NJ, William Tronco and his wife, Josephine of Edmonton, KY, Alyce Del Tufo and her husband, Michael, of North Plainfield, NJ and Anthony Tronco and his wife, Linda of North Plainfield, NJ; a sister, Lee Painter of St. Mary, FL; twelve grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and several great-great and great-great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services and interment are private under the care of Wright & Ford Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 38 State Highway 31, Flemington, NJ.
