Amber Lynn Bucior Cruz, age 32 years, of Delaware Township, NJ, died on Monday, July 20, 2015 in Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, New York City, NY.
Born in Perth Amboy, NJ, April 3, 1983, cherished daughter of Walter and Linda Shoemaker Bucior of Delaware Township, NJ, she was a lifelong area resident.
A 2000 graduate of Hunterdon Central Regional High School, Amber then went on to receive her BA in Elementary Education from Rider University. She first worked at Catholic Charities where she was involved with their after-school program. She then worked for over ten years at Stop and Shop, Flemington, NJ where she was a customer service representative. She then taught at Alexandria Middle School, Alexandria Township, NJ and then went on to work as a patient care representative for Hunterdon Pediatrics.
Amber was a person who loved to work with children as evidenced by her work history and education. She loved the outdoors, especially the beach and any beach boardwalk. Country music was always playing and she was able to meet her favorite group, Rascal Flatts, through the make-a-wish program. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Victories Church, Baptistown, NJ.
Her cancer diagnosis never got the best of her and she lived life to the fullest right up until her final moments where she was able to die in the arms of her beloved husband, Daniel after summoning the energy to say, “I love you” one final time.
In addition to her loving parents are her cherished husband, Daniel Antonio Cruz with whom she joined hands in marriage on September 20, 2013; her caring mother-in-law and father-in-law, Etna and Roberto Cruz of Howell, NJ; numerous loving aunts, uncles and cousins; and many devoted friends.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Jessica Marie, in 1996 and a cousin, Jolene LaBar in 2008.
Funeral Services officiated by Monsignor David Fulton will take place on Monday, July 27, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. in Wright & Ford Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 38 State Highway 31, Flemington, NJ. Interment will follow in St. Magdalen Cemetery, North Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Calling hours will be Monday from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the Funeral Home.
