Anthony (Tony) DeLuca, age 66 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, died peacefully on Saturday, April 20, 2024, at Hunterdon Medical Center.
Born in the Bronx, NY, June 28, 1957, son of the late Dante and Julia DeLuca, Tony was raised in the Bronx and had lived for many years in Succasunna and Whitehouse Station, NJ, prior to moving to Raritan Township in 2002.
A man whose humor and charisma touched all those with whom he came into contact, his interests varied from grilling on the B-B-Q for his family while rooting for the New York Giants, to relaxing at the Jersey Shore, watching the sunset and eating a hot-dog!
As a beloved coach, successful entrepreneur, and salesman, Tony leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion that will be carried forward by the lights of his life: his children and their spouses, as well as his grandchildren. Stephen, Michael and Stephanie, and Juliana and Errol, along with his three grandsons, Jordan, Errol, and Edwin, brought immense joy and pride to his life and Tony closed his eyes to this world confident that they would continue to be there for one another, always. He will also be sorely missed by his longtime partner of many years, Lisa, with whom he made many happy memories, several extended family members, and many dear friends.
In one of Tony’s favorite songs, we hear the lyrics, “I’ve lived a life that’s full; I traveled each and every highway; And more, much more than this, I did it my way…” These lyrics by Frank Sinatra truly sum up the legacy of this father, grandfather, partner, and friend to all he met. Tony lived each day to its fullest, seizing the moment and letting the love of family and friends be his North Star. To honor Tony, is to wake up each day trying to love a bit harder, and to always remember that family is everything.
